When was your lightbulb moment?

Earlier this year my husband and I stepped onto the bathroom scales and I weighed just as much as he did.  It was at this very moment I vowed this would never happen again.

What was your health and fitness regime like before you started training with Jordan?

In recent years I did very little daily exercise.  As an accountant most of my day is spent sitting in front of a computer. This has resulted in a sedentary lifestyle.

What changes have you seen in yourself since training with Jordan?

My unwavering determination to succeed in my fitness and weight loss efforts.   I made a promise to myself that this time there would be real change and failure was not an option.

I made a concerted effort this year to make my health a priority.  We all lead busy lives and I used to say there wasn’t time for exercise.  I now view my health and fitness regime with as much importance as my work life.  In addition to training with Jordan 3 times a week I have allocated time each day to walk around the Maribyrnong River.  I treat this time as a scheduled appointment in the same way my work hours are set each day.

The physical changes are pleasing but the physiological changes have been just as important.   Many people around me have commented on how I now display a greater level of self -confidence.

What has been the biggest thing you have learnt thus far?

I now understand the importance of incorporating these 3 components, daily exercise, eating the right foods and resting.  I now understand you can exercise for hours a day but if you don’t combine this with the right foods you will be wasting your efforts.

I don’t need to count calories and I feel confident in making the correct food choices both when I am at home and out for dinner.

The way I now eat and exercise is part of my daily life and I am not afraid to have the occasional treat.

How has losing weight changed your life?

I now feel a great sense of inner happiness.  I now feel “alive” again which I haven’t felt for a very long time.  My energy levels and motivation have certainly lifted and I look forward to setting new fitness goals.

What are your goals for 2016?

To participate in the Mother’s Day Classic fun run and to become stronger and fitter.

What advice would you give someone wanting to train with Jordan.

Be under no illusion your journey will be challenging and at times tough.  You may even feel like quitting.  But always keep the prize (your fitness goals) at the front of your mind and never forget why you have chosen to change your lifestyle.   The rewards are enormous both physically and mentally.

Jordan and I discussed and mapped out my goals in 6-8 week blocks.  I was very clear with my aspirations and Jordan was honest and forthcoming with what he thought would be achievable within our set timeframes. I thank him for his honesty and his unrelenting encouragement.  Jordan persuaded me to participate in Tough Mudder this year which was such an amazing experience. I would not have been physically able to participate in such an event 9 months ago but with Jordan’s assistance it became a reality.

I believe it’s important to set little milestones along the way instead of big goals, which if not achieved, could quickly hamper your commitment.    Every time you reach a goal it instils belief and determination.

I can’t stress enough how important it was for me to have someone like Jordan guiding me throughout this process.  Jordan has demonstrated a commitment to helping people change their lives and I trust him implicitly in making the right choices for me.
