When was your lightbulb moment?

My lightbulb moment was approximately 10 months ago. I had not been participating in any exercise regime for a few months and my eating patterns had gotten out of hand. My self-esteem and self-love had plummeted. I was not overweight but I had put on significant weight for me and my efforts to self-motivate were floundering. So I chose a drastic diet and weight loss program. The program was strict and tough and was not sustainable. I met the weight loss goal but I was unable to maintain the results. My self-esteem and motivation started to plummet again so I made the decision to take control early and sign up for Jordan’s 12 week transformation program.
What also made me realise I needed to do something fast was because I was suffering from almost daily back pain. Back pain has been a battle of mine since I fractured by back at age 17 in a motorbike accident. I have always been able to maintain by back health however the lack of abdominal work that my previous program provided was poor and I was suffering from almost daily back pain and on a few occasions back spasms that prevented me from being able to work.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

I was going to the gym once to twice a week for group classes, prior to this I had been participating in HIIT style training 5 times a week and I was exhausted and bored. My diet had also taken a huge back step. During my weight loss challenge I had deprived myself of all carbs, sugar and even good fats- no avocado or nuts, and I have to admit I binged after the program ended. I knew I needed to find a new and sustainable approach to food and exercise that would keep me interested and motivated.

What changes have you noticed within yourself since completing the 12 week challenge?

I have noticed that I’m excited to exercise again. I travel approximately 30-45 minutes for my sessions with Jordan. However, this doesn’t bother me because I always walk away knowing I’ve achieved something (even if he does annoy me when I end up doing more reps because he doesn’t count properly, haha)
My core stability and strength has improved dramatically. My back pain and posture in turn has significantly improved- something my chiropractor has noticed.
More importantly I have re built my self-confidence again and I am happy about my body.

Biggest thing you’ve learnt?

That diet and fitness is all about balance. Jordan has taught me that I can experiment and have fun with meals and that there are healthy, tasty recipe ideas out there. I’ve really enjoyed creating some delicious paleo meals that even my partner and family have enjoyed.
He also helped me achieve a healthy balance, I have had my treats here and there and I haven’t been made to feel guilty. It has given me the balance I need so I don’t resolve to binge eating junk food!

Health and fitness goals for the rest of 2017?

I plan to continue to work on my running times. Whilst training with Jordan I have been working on a 4km time trial and I want to continue to work on improving my time and lengthen the distance I’m able to run.
Finally complete at least one unassisted pull up- very close to that goal.
Overall I just want to continue my body transformation journey. Continue to take photos and work towards a leaner, fitter and happier self.

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan?

Take the leap, you won’t regret it. I think what I have enjoyed the most is having a close relationship one on one with my trainer. Jordan was able to tell when I was tired, or flat in mood and know how to get you to push through. He was overall a great support person to me over the last 12 weeks and helped me get through bumps in the road along the way. You won’t get that with most gym memberships.

Total weight loss and goals you've achieved?

  • Weight loss: 3.5kgs
  • Centimeters off my waist: 10cm
  • Centimeters off my hips: 2cm
  • Centimeters off my legs: 6cm
  • Wiping 3mins off my 4km run time.
  • Reduced back pain and overall improved strength and movement

When was your lightbulb moment?

There wasn’t a particular moment that prompted me to undertake the challenge.  I had reached the stage where I was unhappy with my weight and general health and decided it was time to do something about it.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

I didn’t have a fitness regime at all.  I didn’t pay attention to what I was eating either.

What changes have you noticed within yourself since competing the 12 week challenge?

My overall health is significantly different. I sleep well and feel better.  I have given a lot of my clothes to Vinnies knowing that I don’t want to be that size again.  I am also much more conscious about what I eat and drink.

Biggest Thing you’ve learnt

If you want to lose weight and sustain the weight loss you have to change your entire lifestyle.  The biggest think I have learnt is that it isn’t actually that hard to do. Once you make the commitment and stick to a regular routine it is possible.

Health and Fitness goals for the rest of 2017?

My goal is to fit back into my wedding dress by my 16th wedding anniversary which is January 2018.  I am also going to exercise on the days I don’t train – even if it is only for 15 minutes. I am going to continue eating nutritious food and start adding a bit of variety.

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan

Jordan is terrific. His enthusiasm and passion for health and fitness is infectious.  You won’t have any trouble staying motivated and committed to reaching your goals.

Results: Total weight loss of 14kg and 15cm off waist line in 12 weeks.

When was your light bulb moment?

As an electrical lineworker, I have a very physical job that entails 18hr days and a lot of late nights. I found myself stuck in a nasty cycle of working hard, drinking heavy and not having time for a whole lot of exercise!
I'd come home at 3am, battered and bruised and feeling crap from doing heavy work, eating junk and from smoking way too many cigarettes..
I was even starting to miss work due to severe back pain and now a beer gut was beginning develop - something had to be done!

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan.

I walked regularly, cycled a couple of times of week and only ate healthy at home.. My back pain was limiting me from doing any further exercise, and I was beginning to accept that! I'd much rather have a beer to numb the pain than to try do anything about it!

What changes in yourself have you noticed since completing the 12wk challenge?

Where do I start!?!
- No more beer gut!
- Increased energy levels!
- Increased core strength!
- No more back pain!
- Feel so much better!
- New eating habits!
- Hugely motivated!

What is the biggest thing you have learned?

That it's not hard to make changes! I now know how to eat, exercise and rest correctly - and I feel a healthier and happier person for it!

Health and fitness goals for 2017?

To continue with my new healthy lifestyle, stay off the cigarettes - and hopefully compete in the half marathon later in the year!

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan.

It was reading other peoples stories and seeing their 'before and after' photo's that got me motivated enough to go and have a chat with Jordan. I'm so glad I did! It was one of the best decisions that I have ever made!
If you want a professional, passionate and enthusiastic trainer who will guarantee to get the best out of you and the get you the best results possible- then sign up!
Take it from me, you won't be disappointed!!

When was your lightbulb moment?

When I finally stepped on the scales and I saw 89.9kgs displayed. It was a big wake up call for me. I hadn't realised I had gradually gained so much weight over the years.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

My day to day life consisted of working 40 hours a week in an office not really moving around during the day. I wouldn't find time to exercise after work and my meals consisted of quick meals that were not necessarily nutritious.

What changes have you noticed within yourself since completing the 12 week challenge?

The main thing I have noticed is that my overall outlook on life is now much more positive. I am happier then I have ever been before. I am proud of my hard work and am no longer self conscious about the way I look. I am comfortable in my own skin which for me is a big achievement.

Biggest thing you’ve learnt?

The biggest thing I have learnt is the importance of goal setting.
By setting realistic goals I am able to work towards them and am no longer discouraged when I am unable to achieve unrealistic goals.

Health and fitness goals for the rest of 2016 and 2017?

I still have a little more weight to loose so I'll be working towards that. I would also like to work my on my strength.

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan?

I had reservations about joining a personal trainer as I had always been self conscious when working out however Jordan has done nothing but be supportive and encouraging . He always makes the workouts fun and he is always therefor you when you need advise.
So just go for it. You have nothing to loose but everything to gain ! You won't regret it.

When was your lightbulb moment?

I have struggled with weight for a long time and have lost and put on weight at various points in my life. This year I was determined to make changes to conquer the cycle.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

Prior to seeing Jordan I was not very active. Generally I would walk to and around our local park and this would vary from week to week, in terms of frequency. Being time-poor and often working in the evenings and weekends also translated into not always making healthy eating choices.

What changes have you noticed within yourself since completing the 12 week challenge?

Since completing the 12 week challenge I am more energetic, I sleep better and I enjoy being active. Overall, I feel fitter and healthier and I have gained so much knowledge about nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, which I now put into practice.

Biggest thing you’ve learnt?

Whilst I have always been aware of this, the transformation challenge has cemented that in order to be healthy and fit I had to make lifestyle changes that were practical and sustainable.

Health and fitness goals for the rest of 2016

My goal for the remainder of 2016 is to become stronger and develop more lean muscle.

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan

I can’t recommend Jordan enough – without a doubt I would not have achieved as much as I have without him. He is an outstanding personal trainer; he challenges and pushes you whilst making the training fun and giving you great support and guidance. His genuine enthusiasm for your success and his passion for fitness, health and nutrition is also contagious, motivating you even further through the process.

When was your light bulb moment?

In February I began to feel the effects of Plantar Fasciitis and became restricted in what exercises I could actually do.

In hindsight I used this as an excuse to not exercise and gradually started to feel more and more sluggish, plus my clothes definitely didn’t fit as well as they once did!

I knew I needed some motivation and should also try something new.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

Due to the Fasciitis I was really only doing some upper body weights a few times a week, with no cardio. In addition I always tried to maintain a decent diet.

What changes in yourself have you noticed since completing the 12-week challenge?

  • Overall body strength

  • Understanding what a ‘healthy diet’ actually consists of

  • Eating habits and overall food preparation

  • Body shape (size and skin-folds)

  • Increased energy levels

Biggest thing you’ve learnt?

DIET DIET DIET – I always thought I knew what a healthy diet was, but Jordan has made me understand that A, I didn’t, and B. I had to make some major changes or otherwise the weight would eventually pile on!

Also, increasing the strength in my glutes/thighs/hammies has transcended into increased strength in my core and upper body.

I have also learnt  the importance of balance in our lives – though I will never stop enjoying a few beers on the weekend, the omelette and a 20 min walk the day after is a much better recovery option than Maccas on the couch!

Health & fitness goals for the rest of 2016?

The main goal is to maintain the exercise/eating habits that have become part of my routine since starting the 12-Week Challenge with Jordan (this includes 6am training sessions!).

As the Fasciitis improves I’m also hoping to be able to participate in Boot Camps again, on the back of the improved fitness levels thanks to Jordan.

What would you advise to someone wanting to train with Jordan?

I believe that we all need to invest in ourselves, though unfortunately not enough people actually do.

By making the decision to train with Jordan, this is exactly what you’re doing – investing in yourself.

You will learn so much about nutrition and get more out of your body than you ever thought you could. Jordan’s enthusiasm and energy is so contagious and encourages you to dig deep, even when you really just want to throw the kettle-bell at his head!

The 12-Week Challenge has been worth all the time, money and early morning alarms…

RESULTS : TOTAL LOSS OF 7KGS AND 15CMS OFF HIS WAIST.

When was your lightbulb moment?

Since I was 18 I've been trying to lose weight. I have lost weight before but I always end up putting it back on. On my 24th birthday I promised myself that I would get healthier , lose the weight and keep it off.

What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

Health I would try to eat healthy. Mid week my eating was not an issue but on the weekends all consistency would fly out the window

Fitness: go to gym at work on my lunch breaks, this consisted of 2 x 30min boxing classes and 1 x 30min HITT sessions a week

What changes in yourself have you noticed since completing the 12 week challenge

I have a better understanding about nutrition and how important it is to fuel your body with the right foods. Since completing the challengeI have more energy, my sleep has improved and I feel happier in general

The biggest physical difference I've noticed is my thighs. I actually went shopping around week 5 of the challenge to buy jeans. Normally I am a size 14 but I managed to get my butt into a size 12 (which was a little big actually) the sales lady suggested bringing me a size 10 but I refused to even try them on as I thought there would be no way my butt and thighs would fit into a 10. Come week  7 of the challenge those size 12 jeans were way too big. So I basically spent $150 on jeans that I only wore for 2 weeks.

Biggest thing you’ve learnt?

The most important thing I've learnt is to  be consistent and how important that is. Especially with my eating. You can work out as much and as hard as you want but if you are not eating the right foods there is no point exercising.

Health and fitness goals for the rest of 2016

Core and upper body strength. And overall toning

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan

He is an excellent trainer. He will push you, he will challenge you and he will support you. No matter how big or little you goal is he will get you there. When you achieve the little milestones you set along the way in your training the genuine excitement and pride Jordan expresses just makes you want to push that little bit more. I can honestly say I would not have been able to do this without him. For me he has made the impossible possible and I will forever be grateful.

1. When was your lightbulb moment?

My weight has been fairly stable all my life but when I reached 40 my metabolism changed and I gradually started putting on weight. Before I knew it I had put on 10kg. It was then that I realised I really needed to make some changes to my lifestyle.

2. What was your health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan?

I have always been fairly active but over the last 5 or so years I had been getting a lot of injuries during exercise such as jogging and tennis.  This led to me exercising less and less as I thought my body couldn't cope with it.  And, as with most people these days I found I was becoming time poor and ended up prioritising my family and work ahead of finding time to find a fitness regime which could work for me.

3. What changes in yourself have you noticed since completing the 12 week challenge?

Apart from the obvious weight loss I am feeling a lot stronger in my body, I have a lot more energy and even my sleep has improved. I'm much happier within myself as I feel "the old me" has returned. I look forward to exercising now and make it a priority.

4. What is the biggest thing that I have learnt?

I suppose the take home message for me was that if I wanted results and wanted the results to last, I would have to make a lifestyle change.  I followed Jordan's advice on eating and exercising and made sure I communicated with him if I ever felt a niggle in my body so that he could continue to train me without it leading to injury.

5. Health and Fitness goals for the rest of 2016.

After Jordan's 12 week challenge I'm happy with my weight and size now so I don't have any weight loss goals. What is important to me is to continue feeling healthy and strong in my body and mind. So my goals for 2016 (and onwards) are  to continue exercising regularly without injury and to continue eating healthy non processed options.

6. Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan.

Just do it!!! Call him. You won't regret it. I wish I'd done this 5 years ago!! I can't recommend him highly enough. It hasn't always been easy, but Jordan makes the workouts fun and once you start seeing and feeling the results you won't look back!!

1). When was your lightbulb moment

When I really started to think what my goal was when I was training in the gym everyday. I was just usually doing the normal light weights, non complicated exercises that was just keeping me looking 'normal', I had no real goal. I've always been in awe of the women who compete in body building I felt that I could get up on stage at one point in my life. Thats when I went searching for help.

2). What was your health and fitness regime like before you started training with Jordan.

I used to be a long distance Half Marathon Runner, running in fun runs and the Melb Half Mara in 2014. i was doing a couple a few days in the gym post running and that was about it. I felt fit, not strong though.

3). What changes have you seen in yourself since training with Jordan

I've definitely seen physical changes. Watching my body change and also others around me seeing the changes has been so motivating to making me keep wanting to do better. I've definitely gotten a lot stronger and gained a lot more knowledge about exercises and why I am doing them.

4). What has been the biggest thing you’ve learnt thus far

I've learnt that hard work does pay off and you can only blame yourself for the damages you do to your body. You have complete control over your body, its just up to you to nourish it and look after it.

5) How has losing weight changed your life

I've put on 2kg of muscle but have still stayed toned. Watching this slowly happen has made me work harder towards my goals

6) What are your goal for 2016

Goals, defiantly to compete in a few INBA competitions. Ill see how my body shreds down, but hopefully competing in Figure or Bikini fitness.

7) What advice would you give to someone wanting to train with Jordan?

Have fun with it, he is so amazing to work with. Have a goal and he will 100% help you work towards it with your training and nutrition. Not only do I have a trainer, but an awesome friend as well.

When was your light bulb moment.

I realised I really needed to lose weight ( I had been avoiding being in photos or weighing myself) when my GP weighed me and I weighed more than when I as 9 months pregnant. At about the same time I put on a top that had always been very loose on me and i couldn’t get it over my hips. I realised that Jordan’s program worked for me after I lost 6 kgms in the first month. He told me at my first session that if I followed his programme in terms of nutrition and saw him at the gym 2 x per week I would achieve great results and although I was sceptical at first he was 100% right.

Health and fitness regime before seeing Jordan.

I used to follow a weight watchers program - so I counted “points” all day. I spent all day working out how much food I could eat without going over the points limit. Weight watchers allowed all foods so I was still eating a fair bit of sugar and carbs. I used to walk 3-4 times per week - about 20 kms per week.

Changes in yourself.

It’s hard to adequately describe all the changes in myself since training with Jordan. Firstly I have lost 16 kgms in 4 1/2 months. My diet has changed completely - I eat healthy unprocessed foods, no sugar no bread, pasta, rice. Still enjoy a wine ! I don’t have to count food points anymore which is an amazing relief. I don’t buy every magazine with a “ miracle diet” article in it.The pain in my knees ( which I had thought was age related ) has disappeared completelyI am more confident, feel so much fitter and healthier, and finally I am not the one always taking the photo - I am happy to be in the photo now.

Biggest thing you’ve learnt.

I think the number one thing I have learnt is about nutrition and how easy it is to be a healthy eater. I’ve also learnt that I am not too old to train in a gym and that I am more capable of achieving training results than I ever thought I could be. Losing weight has been life changing for me - I am much more confident and happy to give things a go.

Goals for 2016.

My ongoing goals are to lose another 5 kgms , be able to run 5kms without stopping and to tone up and become even stronger. To keep feeling happy and proud of myself.

Advice to someone wanting to train with Jordan.

I cannot recommend Jordan highly enough. He is an enthusiastic, and very motivating trainer He is tough and won’t accept excuses but somehow still manages to make the sessions fun ( I can’t believe I am saying that) He is genuinely thrilled when you achieve goals and that gives you great encouragement to keep going. If you are thinking about training with Jordan - then you definitely should. You won’t regret it

When was your lightbulb moment?

Earlier this year my husband and I stepped onto the bathroom scales and I weighed just as much as he did.  It was at this very moment I vowed this would never happen again.

What was your health and fitness regime like before you started training with Jordan?

In recent years I did very little daily exercise.  As an accountant most of my day is spent sitting in front of a computer. This has resulted in a sedentary lifestyle.

What changes have you seen in yourself since training with Jordan?

My unwavering determination to succeed in my fitness and weight loss efforts.   I made a promise to myself that this time there would be real change and failure was not an option.

I made a concerted effort this year to make my health a priority.  We all lead busy lives and I used to say there wasn’t time for exercise.  I now view my health and fitness regime with as much importance as my work life.  In addition to training with Jordan 3 times a week I have allocated time each day to walk around the Maribyrnong River.  I treat this time as a scheduled appointment in the same way my work hours are set each day.

The physical changes are pleasing but the physiological changes have been just as important.   Many people around me have commented on how I now display a greater level of self -confidence.

What has been the biggest thing you have learnt thus far?

I now understand the importance of incorporating these 3 components, daily exercise, eating the right foods and resting.  I now understand you can exercise for hours a day but if you don’t combine this with the right foods you will be wasting your efforts.

I don’t need to count calories and I feel confident in making the correct food choices both when I am at home and out for dinner.

The way I now eat and exercise is part of my daily life and I am not afraid to have the occasional treat.

How has losing weight changed your life?

I now feel a great sense of inner happiness.  I now feel “alive” again which I haven’t felt for a very long time.  My energy levels and motivation have certainly lifted and I look forward to setting new fitness goals.

What are your goals for 2016?

To participate in the Mother’s Day Classic fun run and to become stronger and fitter.

What advice would you give someone wanting to train with Jordan.

Be under no illusion your journey will be challenging and at times tough.  You may even feel like quitting.  But always keep the prize (your fitness goals) at the front of your mind and never forget why you have chosen to change your lifestyle.   The rewards are enormous both physically and mentally.

Jordan and I discussed and mapped out my goals in 6-8 week blocks.  I was very clear with my aspirations and Jordan was honest and forthcoming with what he thought would be achievable within our set timeframes. I thank him for his honesty and his unrelenting encouragement.  Jordan persuaded me to participate in Tough Mudder this year which was such an amazing experience. I would not have been physically able to participate in such an event 9 months ago but with Jordan’s assistance it became a reality.

I believe it’s important to set little milestones along the way instead of big goals, which if not achieved, could quickly hamper your commitment.    Every time you reach a goal it instils belief and determination.

I can’t stress enough how important it was for me to have someone like Jordan guiding me throughout this process.  Jordan has demonstrated a commitment to helping people change their lives and I trust him implicitly in making the right choices for me.
